Watermelon Ice Pops!!

Much to my excitement, I was able to exchange my malfunctioning Zoku for a new unit yesterday.  I also picked up an ice pop recipe book and Serendipity frozen hot chocolate mix, both of which I am excited to put to use!

After nearly 24 hours in the freezer, my new Zoku was ready to go to work.  I cut up some watermelon and put it in my food processor.

Then I pureed for a couple of minutes...

I took the Zoku out of the freezer and put the popsicle sticks in their slots and I was ready to begin.

Using the baster, I filled all three slots.

I set the timer for 10 minutes and waited for the Zoku to work its magic.

And voila - watermelon ice pops!

In the Beginning...

For as long as I can remember I have been enamored with frozen goods.  While recently shopping for a gift at Williams-Sonomoa, I stumbled upon the Zoku Quick Pop Maker (available here).  

Upon further inspection, my husband and I decided it was well worth the $49.95.  So far we have made raspberry lemonade, watermelon and cantaloupe ice pops with great success.  We used the Zoku so much in the first two weeks that it has stopped freezing properly.  I assure you that it will be replaced and that the ice pops will go on.  Stay tuned for recipes, tips and other fun stuff!
